DESCRIPTION: Training sessions are held for those who wish to become volunteer mediators in the VORP program. Mediators are needed to help bring crime victims and offenders together, and promote restitution and reconciliation among the individuals involved.
COST: The cost is $25 for 9 hours of classroom training and 8 hours of field training as you work your first victim/offender case, with the agreement to serve as a mediator on 2 additional cases sometime during your first year. If you would still like to benefit from the training without case responsibility, the cost is $50.

Ground Maintenance Supervisor
Must be able to work outdoors in adverse weather conditions with
ability to work on steep or uneven terrain. Must have knowledge of
landscaping, irrigation, and grounds maintenance methods and
practices, plant diseases, tools, chemicals, and materials. Ability
to operate and maintain a variety of landscaping and grounds
maintenance tools and equipment; lift or move up to 60 lbs. Ability
to establish and maintain positive and cooperative working

DESCRIPTION: This event is named after a local runner who doesn't run any more because of chronic cerebral palsy and an arthritic back. But he will walk the 2 mile route at this annual event that raises money for United Cerebral Palsy of Central California. There are several events a person can participate in. There is a kids 1/2 mile run, a kids 1/4 mile run, a 2 mile walk, a 2 mile run, and a 4 mile run. All runners receive a commerative t-shirt.
